Dairy Cows: Housing
We must be fair to the factory farming owner too.
Some of them did do their best.
Looking at the population that they need to feed, factory farming is unavoidable.
Unless someone can come out with some better ideas.

But looking at the speed of population growing, factory farming is almost unavoidable. But yet the government still can set some rules to at least treat the animals better.
After all it is what you will be eating.

Factory Farming in America
I grew up in a remote small village in Malaysia. Where I could see small amount chicken, ducks, goose, cows and sometimes brownish color sheeps wondering around here and there. Sometimes I was chase by the ducks and geese also, when I passeb by their terretories. They are not very intellegence, may be is because the owner never teach them a lot since they are for slaughtering purpurses only, but same as human, each of them has their own characteristics, emotion and some thinking.
If you believe that there is a true meaning for human life. Same as human, the animals are not born for purposes of supplying meat to human being or other predators only. Please at least treat them a bit better, before we sent them into our stomachs.
